2023 TINMAN JOBURG #3  - 2023 TTA & CGT Triathlon Championships (PRIME VIEW)

The 2023 Joburg TINMAN Series is has moved to PRIME VIEW! (https://prime-view.co.za/) 

The TinMan JHB #3 is also TTA & CGT CHAMPS, where provincial Teams are selected. Please make sure you are TSA registered to qualify for the teams. 

The FINAL and last race in the 2023 series will take place at Cradle Moon on the 3^rd of December. This event will ONLY stage the 3 Triathlon events (Individual’s only) 

It will be the END OF YEAR PARTY RACE race, dress up’s are encouraged and there will be a festive spirit in the air with prizes for best dressed!  

RACE DATES: 

• 12^th FEB – PRIME VIEW
• 2^nd APRIL – PRIME VIEW
• 29^th OCTOBER – PRIME VIEW
• 3^rd DECEMBER – CRADLE MOON (SERIES FINAL)

The TinMan series is the oldest running triathlon series in South Africa, having started in Durban in 1999. Now a national Series, with events in Joburg, the Cape and KZN, this is one Series you can’t miss out on. The National Tinman Series is a popular family orientated series that includes 3 Triathlon events on the day as well as a 10km running race and a Duathlon (Run / Cycle / Run)  

Come join us in 2023, enter the first one and watch how your fitness and racing improves during the year!  

Events (except the final):

• 10km Run (12yrs up) 
• Mini Tri (200m Swim / 5km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 8yrs up. 
• SUPER SPRINT (400m Swim/ 10km Cycle / 2,5 km Run)  Min Age: 12 years - Max Age 15 years  (TTA & CGT CHAMPS - Must have TSA Licence)
• SPRINT TRI  (750m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run) Min Age: 16 yrs (TTA & CGT CHAMPS - Must have TSA Licence)
• Sprint RELAY TEAM (600m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run)
• STANDARD  TRI  (1.5km Swim / 40km Cycle  / 10km Run) 18yrs up.  (TTA & CGT CHAMPS - Must have TSA Licence)
• Challenge RELAY TEAM (1.2km Swim / 30km Cycle / 10km Run) - 3.5hr cut off
• Challenge Duathlon (10km Run / 30km Cycle / 5km Run) 17yrs up - 3.5hr cut off

Attention all TTA & CGT Triathlon Championships Athletes: 

- Please ensure you enter the correct distance event

- All athletes entering for the TTA & CGT Tri Champs MUST have a TSA Membership Licence and NOT a Temporary TSA day licence. Any athletes wanting to compete in the Champsionships with a Temproary TSA day licence will not be recognised

Registration Times: 

• 10km Run Challenge Duathlon & Standard Tri:  5:45am to 7am
• Sprint Tri: 6:30am to 7:30am 
• Mini Tri/ Supersprint: 6:30am to 7:30am 

Bike Racking will be at the same time as registration. Once you register, you enter the transition directly from registration - secure area. 

START TIMES:

• 7am: 10km Run & Standard Triathlon  & Duathlon
• 7:40am: Sprint Triathlon
• 8:15am: Mini Triathlon / Super Sprint 

Entry Fees: 

• 10km Run: R150.00 
• Mini Tri: R300.00 
• SUPER SPRINT TRI: R300.00
• SPRINT TRI : R530.00
• Sprint Relay Team of 2: R275.00 (pp.)  / of 3: R190.00 (p.p.)
• STANDARD TRI : R650.00
• Challenge Relay Team of 2 R340.00 (pp.)  / of 3: R230.00 (p.p.)
• Challenge Duathlon: R580.00

Also included is an awesome safe fun family event, Finishers medals or similar and an ice cold aQuelle as well as Lucky draw prizes and Winners prizes. 

CYCLING will be on the road

RUNNING will be Offroad on Gravel roads. 

Road Bikes and MTB Bikes only allowed. (Draft legal event) 

ENTRIES CLOSE THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE EACH EVENT.
